| LC 475 - Capacitor Leakage Extravaganza |
Posted by: LazarusNine on 2015-02-26 05:44:27 Hello all. I just received an LC 475 in the post - it was expertly packaged and I'm very happy with all of that. But wow - that's some capacitor leakage right there! It won't be until April that I can get around to attempting a recap on this board. It has though, suddenly shot up my priority list to the Number 1 spot! It also needs a good alcohol bath. 🙂

Posted by: Elfen on 2015-02-27 12:51:13 That is bad. At least wash the board to take out as much of the gunk as possible before it spreads and does more damage.
Sometimes I swear, Apple must have had board meetings about how to have Macs Die in 10 years, with Bad Leaky Caps and Exploding batteries in their list.
BTW, this is not the only time I have heard of this, but iphone Li-Ion Batteries are exploding in people's pockets!!!
