You speak in a few places about an '040 optimised NetBSD - is that available for download, or do I just get compilering?

Ah, thanks for that.
I had some troubles installing it (SCSIRead() errors - used smaller partitions at the beginning of the disk), but got it running now. This is my first attempt at NetBSD/68k, and it seems like a very sweet system. A lot snappier than I'd have thought.
