I have SAM 4.0(if I am correct) on my PowerBook 160. While I was checking some disks I had, SAM found the WDEF virus on one of my System 6.0.4 disks and erased it. Would I need to scan my PowerBook's hard drive for viruses just in case the virus managed to spread before it got erased? Just making sure.

From the Disinfectant 3.7.1 manual:
"You can remove a WDEF infection from a disk by rebuilding the desktop.
See the “Problem Clinic” section for details. It is often easier to get rid
of a WDEF infection by simply rebuilding the Desktop file than it is to use
Disinfectant. This is also the only way to get rid of a WDEF infection under
System 7."

And **some** WDEF-type viruses were built to avoid being "rebuilt" by hiding as "Comments" (Get Info)---so you'd have to choose between erasing your comments (if you had any, like say the s/ns or nifty hack hints), or scanning your disk & cleaning it with SAM (which was an VVG Virus app while Symantec was still Symantec).
