Lombard system install...
Posted by: paws on 2008-06-04 20:01:44
I got a very good condition Lombard recently, but it doesn't have an OS. I want to put 8.6 on it, but the CD I have isn't bootable. Can anyone help me?

I tried taking the disk out and installing from another machine, but the install doesn't work.. I get either a bus error or addressing error during startup, both requiring a restart.

Lombards have SCSI no?

Can you try SCSI disk mode with another machine and load the OS that way?

....external hd enclosure...?

That or get your hands on a bootable disk. Or SCSI disk mode.
