But 6 new cases would allow someone to rebuild new looking batteries very cheaply.
Now I'm tempted to buy them.

Personally I'd be afraid of the fact that they may have started leaking by now.

Posted by: Quadraman on 2008-05-10 22:45:13 Batteries that old will most likely need rebuilding and as was mentioned before, you'd have to hack the case apart to get it open and then find some way to hold it together once you put the new cells in. On the bright side, though, when you rebuild a battery you have the chance to replace the low power cells that the OEM uses with higher capacity ones so you get more time between charges.
