| Q950 problems |
Posted by: Alan Cottrill on 2008-04-11 09:15:27 I just received my q950 and am having a few problems with it. First, it wouldn't boot from the hard drive. It would show the smiley mac then go back to a grey screen then to a disk with an X flashing. It won't boot from known good boot floppy disks. It just spits them out. So I striped it down, no nubus cards and only 4 chunks of known good memory. Still no boot. I took the hard drive from my LC575 and it booted! No keyboard or mouse function though, I've tried two different known good keyboard mouse combos. After it boots 7.5.3 fcrom my LC hard drive it still spits out disks (I've tried two different floppy dirves).
also... new battery.
any advice on how to proceed?
