Well, I finally got around to ordering the processor replacement for my crappy Dell computer which died. I got a mobo replacement and it turned out that it fried the proc. So I (two months later) got a $15 2.4ghz proc off Ebay (BIN) and it all works now. Stuck a spare HD in it and installed OSX86, and it's working beautifully.
Specs:
2.4ghz P4 (Socket 478)
Compaq motherboard
512mb DDR
40gb HD[/u]

Those 478's still have good life in them. I wish I could find a 3.06ghz HT for less than $100, though. 🙁
