| Stylewriter II problem |
Posted by: JRL on 2008-04-03 17:27:50 I can't print from my Stylewriter for some strange reason. The cables are tight and everything is connected, but my Powerbook eventually gets the "no connection" message. Could it just be a cable problem? It worked fine yesterday.

1) Cable; either through substitution, or checking the connections with an ohmmeter.
2) Connectors: Pins and socket clean? Pins straight?
3) Software: Try reinstalling the SW software and see if that helps.
4) Brain: Correct printer selected in Chooser? Printer powered up and turned on? 🙂

4b) Brain: StyleWriter does not like AppleTalk too much. In case you activated AppleTalk for the serial port the StyleWriter is attached to, it is most likely not operational (except you use an AppleTalk bridge attached to the StyleWriter).
