| Conquest Commodore VIC-20 |
Posted by: gobabushka on 2008-03-18 08:09:54 Well, i got another commodore conquest, a VIC-20, with a working joystick, and datasette! now i just need to figure out how to hook it up to my 1702!

Posted by: aphetica on 2008-03-18 11:08:27 I really want to conquer a commodore 64. You'd think that the highest selling computer of all time would be easier to find for free. Maybe it's just not my time yet.
What kind of video output does that thing have?
|
Posted by: tomlee59 on 2008-03-19 07:02:21 It's got a composite video output, so hooking it up to a 1702 is just a matter of getting an RCA cable/connector, and hooking it up. You'll also want to hook up audio, too, for a complete VIC multimedia experience. 🙂
Don't be overwhelmed by the mighty 3.5kB of RAM! How will you ever fill it all up? 🙂

Posted by: gobabushka on 2008-03-19 07:53:27 i cant get any composite output on on either my c64 or my vic-20. is there anything im missing?

Posted by: John8520 on 2008-03-19 09:29:27 To hook my C64 to a TV I had to use an RF modulator, it didn't work straight up. I think those old monitors had modulators built in or something because you didn't need one to use them.

|
Posted by: gobabushka on 2008-03-20 07:57:48 is it 75 ohm, or 300 ohm?
|
Posted by: techfury90 on 2008-03-20 13:10:10 75. What you need is a "game switchbox" from radio shack to use it.
|
Posted by: Quadraman on 2008-03-20 15:30:52 You'll need to find a cable to use it with the 1702. Damn, that 1702 is a sweet monitor. I remember back in the day even us hardcore Atari guys used to all have Commodore monitors. It was the only thing we would give Commodore any credit for.
