Posted by: Flash! on 2008-03-15 02:13:25 I've used Photoshop 3 or 4 on a Centris 650 (with full 040 onboard) It was sluggish, but it worked. I recommend RAM (I has something like 32MB in the Centris, back in the day)

Photoshop 1.x and earlier may be sensitive to Mac OS version. Apple made many changes to QuickDraw during the System 6 era. NuBus video cards may also be sensitive.
Photoshop 2.x should run happily on any standard Mac and most video cards will work.

Posted by: mboconnell on 2008-03-20 15:04:59 I have Photoshop 2.5 and it runs just fine on my Plus (4mb), but it gives me an error on start that there isn't any color support. :b&w:

Posted by: slomacuser on 2008-03-24 05:26:46 from original Adobe PS 1.0.7 manuals:
• Macintosh SE, SE/30, II, IIx, IIci, IIcx with a minimum of 2 megabaytes of RAM
• System software 6.0.3
For Adobe PS 2.5:
• An Apple Macintosh II computer with a 68020 (or any later model) with a minimum 3 MB of RAM.
• System software 6.0.7
• 32-bit QuickDraw
Adobe recommends a Macintosh II with 68030 or 68040 processor, System 7 or higher and from 5 to 8 MB RAM.
