But I do have to add that SSB Melee was fun. My son and I still play it on the GC. I imagine that Brawl is that much more fun. 😀

I was going to continue the downgrade, and claim NES (which I do still have,) but I'll just skip to the beginning and claim my original Atari Pong. (Still works!)
Yeah, you can go earlier than Pong with electronic gaming, but not for 'home consoles'. (I also have a circa 1950's pinball machine.)

Has anyone noticed how really *awful* the Wii games library is becoming? Outside of Nintendo's own games there aren't many really good third party efforts. I was in Gamestop recently and noticed all the 19.99 discount games that seem to be getting dumped on the Wii that don't exist for the PS3 or 360. Even games that used to be good are quickly being moved down to the 19.99 price point. Is this what the Wii is coming to? Scraping the bottom of the gamer barrel?

The reason th wii has lousy 3rd party games, is because here is a typical teenagers mind:

Yes, i am bitter over the sony vs sega thing. But MS has really brainwashed some kids. They wont look "Beyond The Window" at all. Try something new. Maby get away from the new junk. enjoy the old things. Realize the earth doesnt revolve around halo. (Its all they talk about).

peopel are just finally realising what it i and the gimmick is wearing off
remove the gimmick ( and that controller is a damn gimmick ) you arent left with much

hmmm, there's my dad's Atari 800 in the basement. No carts though. Damn repairmen stealing our stuff!! I remember whittling away day of my youth playing missile command, space invaders, and of course, Pac Man!!
I also came across a box with the original instruction manual for my PS1, and my PS2. the size difference between the two is incredible. I still use my fat PS2 every day. But the expansion bay port is blown, so no HDD and network adapter for me. I swear I am gonna get a PS3 soon. I wanted to before April because GTA IV is coming out, but what can you do?

I got Gran Turismo 1. I still think it's amazing. As well as Driver 1, 2 is ok and the only reason I play is for the ability to hijack cars.
