| Woo! TechStep! |
Posted by: krfkeith on 2008-03-10 16:30:49 Well, I just bought a TechStep from eBay. It was $42 shipped ($30 without). Good deal? I think so! It also has the case and two ROM packets.

Posted by: iamdigitalman on 2008-03-12 00:45:13 nice. You can run those things off regular 9 volt batteries, which tends to make them a bit more portable. Just snap off the port block, and there you go.
Also, nice to see it comes with the case. Most times they don't. I have always wanted one.
-digital 😉

Posted by: krfkeith on 2008-04-08 17:57:17 lol, actually some of my female friends were asking me about it. of course, everyone thought it was a calculator, but what I don't get is, where are the + and - and = keys? Makes me wonder, could someone write an app for it to make it a calc?

Posted by: LCGuy on 2008-04-08 18:03:29 When I bought one home for a couple of days back in 2002, my parents thought the same thing.

Although I have 5 ROM packs no woman ever asked me about that [}🙂] ]'>

Posted by: LCGuy on 2009-01-02 16:31:15 Its a diagnostics device that Apple made for service centres in the early 1990's, for diagnosing faults on Macs from the Mac Plus up until about the LCIII.
