| Conductive Epoxy |
Posted by: raoulduke on 2015-02-09 07:16:33 Any suggestions of which conductive epoxy to get - for two purposes: 1) connecting axial leads to a battery (just a thought); and 2) to connect a series of batteries to rebuild a PB 5300c battery pack.
Thanks

Posted by: techknight on 2015-02-09 11:11:50 I never had any problems doing it.
You supposed to use a piercing punch style welder to put tabs on a battery.
Batteries Plus does it.

Posted by: raoulduke on 2015-02-09 16:21:32 I suspect you're right. The impetus for this thread was that the only specs I could find involved resistance, which I didn't understand.
I'm still not very comfortable soldering them, although I do have holders on the way, so I could theoretically just tape them in sequence and put them into the holder that way. I'm not sure why someone had counterindicated that. It seems logical to me.

Is soldering batteries bad? I've heard if you screw up and apply heat for too long they can explode.
