Posted by: quinterro on 2008-02-22 06:40:08 I was cleaning my office yesterday and found the following items:
Dark Castle
Beyond Dark Castle
Apache Strike
Shadowgate
All of them have original disks and are in their boxes. Unfortunately I don't have a Mac old enough to run them. 🙁
I'll take pics when I get some spare time.

BTW, if you want to sell those games I saw Beyond Dark Castle go for over $100 on eBay the other day.

Posted by: TheNixer on 2008-02-22 17:24:40 Thanks for the links slomacuser, I downloaded them straight to my SE/30! It would be nice if someone wanted to make PDF's of the manuals to preserve them and share them on-line. I actually tried to win that eBay auction I mentioned above in attempt to do just that. Since it was a complete game I was going to scan all materials, grab a disk image and sell it back.

Posted by: quinterro on 2008-02-22 17:50:19 As far as instructions, they do not appear to be much.
Dark Castle - front and back of one sheet of paper
Beyond Dark Castle - front and back of one sheet of paper, separate 1/2 page with a compatibility chart
Apache Strike - front and back of three sheets of paper, separate 1/2 page with a compatibility chart
Shadowgate - actually has a booklet! 16 Pages, plus a reference card. Unfortunately, Disk 1 is copy-protected.
All of them had registration cards. When I get the desk cleaned up I'll scan the docs.

Posted by: TheNixer on 2008-02-23 08:09:16 Hmm, I was kind of hoping for a nice manual. I bought Defender of the Crown a few months back and it had an awesome manual.
I forgot to remove the finder and system folder before I moved Dark Castle to my HD20 so my Plus started booting straight to Dark Castle. It freaked me out for a second until I realized what had happened. Luckily I had my 6.0.8 boot disk right there.
This game rules, it's got to be one of the best games for the Mac ever. It's hard but fun. I can't throw the rocks fast enough.
BTW - This game freaked out my SE and my SE/30. It HAD to play on the Plus to act right. Otherwise there was just lots of flashing and no controls.
