| PowerBook 100 not keeping date & time |

Finally got around giving my PB100 some love and care, bought 3 new backup batteries but finding it is not keeping the time?
The main battery does not hold a charge anymore but I thought the backuo batteries were for date and time, am I wrong?
Love to know as going back to 1904 every time I start her up sucks.

There is a recessed toggle switch in back. In one position, it completely disconnects the three lithium coin cells from the system (this is to allow long-term storage). Try flipping the switch to the other position and see if that fixes things.
