Thank god for freecycle I got the nicest box of mac stuff. I got a LC and monitor as well as lots of accessories. Two scsi drives one hard drive and one cd. some IIgs stuff was with it, I thought that is what he had to give me but said he said he must have gotten confused, sounded like they had a bunch. anyway lots of games on the computer and drive. he also said he would let me know if he found a IIgs.

I've been subscribed to Freecycle for close to two years, and the only thing that pops up are cribs and crappy furniture. Heh!

I try to ask regularly if anyone has any vintage macs they do not want so I can save them from the scrap yard. My house is filling up fast lol.

You see, that's a great idea. But our list moderator strictly forbids people from making requests for electronic equipment. I tried to explain that this stuff has value essentially only to me, but he doesn't want to listen.

That sucks. People do not seem to realize that hording old apples does a number of good things, mostly keeps them from dying in the junk yard and stops them from releasing toxins such as lead and others into the soil.
