IIsi from ebay arrived...

-520MB HD

-17MB RAM @ macintoshman: its NANYA RAM 😛 4 sticks with two 16mbit chips each

-it has some kind of asante NIC and another funky FORMAC branded card i cant identify... have to do some research. it has an 68882 on it so its at least not completely useless 😀 it has a 9 pin connector but only 5 pins are used. the sticker on its ROM says "PRO GRAPH si 1.0" the formac card wasnt plugged in and qas flying around inside the mac when i opened it first :?:

The case needs some cleaning, the mobo looks ok... no leaking caps.

trying to get one of my monitors to work with its sync on g video now...

pics of it on flickr

got the video to work with my apple multi sync monitor.

had to use an apple->VGA adapter with dip switches - and set the sync mode to seperate sync - and a VGA->apple adapter to conect the apple monitor 😀

the strange card seems to be a video card taht drives a FORMAC 19" fixed frequency B/W monitor.

The mac was last used in 2003. It has only word and lots of text docs on the HD.

NANYA? NANYA!

NANANYA!

Nice conquest on the IIsi. I like how they look. And up to 2003 is good use of that machine.

How can a IIsi have two cards installed?

One or other out of SuperMac, DayStar, Apple (and probably others) made double PDS/NuBus adapters available. Without Apple's gross metal housing, two NuBus cards can, it seems, be winkled into a IIsi.

macmetex is an eBay seller who regularly turns up such adapters.

He comes up with some of the stranger/rarer things out there. Years ago I bought a pile of VideoVision Studio cards from him. Didn't know he was still at it though. Will have to take a look.

From the photo, my guess is the Formac is a video card. Nice set for an SE/30 🙂
