Posted by: Patnukem on 2008-02-04 12:08:51 I found it on craigslist for $50 and offered $40 it came with paperwork and the install disks. has a nice dvd drive but I will need to rebuild the battery. I put my 128mb stick in it and it booted right up. looks to be well taken care pf and has no broken port covers. He is also going to drop off the dvd video card so I can watch movies on it. Very nice guy too.

Posted by: Byrd on 2008-02-04 13:16:28 Nice machine - and the screen is nicer than the Pismo! Load her up with 512MB, a fast hard disk and a PCMCIA USB card, and 10.3.9 (with Xpostfacto) will run well (don't forget to install the patched ATI driver from 10.2.6, I think it was).

Posted by: Patnukem on 2008-02-04 13:19:56 I put a 128mb I had in, the 256 I had did not work in it. I would like to find a nice wifi card for it. then it can be my back up laptop. I put os 9 on it for now but might get os x on it later.

Posted by: Patnukem on 2008-02-08 13:38:05 do you know if they have made a card that has wifi and usb? it seems like they could have a usb wifi wired in to the usb hub.

Posted by: LCGuy on 2008-02-08 16:57:24 I've never heard of one, but I suppose that you could use a USB WiFi dongle on a USB card (make sure it supports whatever system version you're running)

Posted by: Patnukem on 2008-02-08 17:05:50 I read somewhere else just now that they do not make it but I was thinking I could get a 4 port card and take two of them out and fit a small usb wifi dongle in there. but I have to many projects for right now.
