| Macintosh Performa 578 |
Posted by: Gil on 2008-01-30 15:46:49 Its finally here! I got my Performa 578 today, that i bought off of eBay last week. Never before have i owned a 5xx series. It came complete with Keyboard, Mouse, and OS 7.6 already on it. Stupid me broke off one of the tabs of the back plate. If anyone has a 575 plastic backplate that they would be willing to sell, PM me. I'm going to get a Comm I Ethernet card for it, and I want to get a hard drive of at least 1 GB. Right now im having troubles with it, I'll post that in another thread.
And it all cost me $1, out the door. 😀

Posted by: Gil on 2008-01-30 19:10:53 Hah yeah. Got it from a friend who bought it brand new with his IIgs in 1985. Only used about 15 times or so. Came with original everything, Box, manuals, cables, etc. He gave it to me for free too.

Posted by: Scott Baret on 2008-01-30 19:11:58 I have five ImageBanger IIs and an Imagebanger I. How about I make some music with them? (The idea comes from an entry called "ImageWriter Bands" in one of the Mac Bibles, I think it was the third one).

Posted by: MacMan on 2008-01-31 15:47:22 I never even knew there was a model called the 578! This machine was of course from the time when Apple had loads of different product names and numbers for different configurations, which confused customers.
Good-looking Trinitron tube in that too!
