Farallon StarRouter - Looking for Management Disks
Posted by: massiverobot on 2014-09-10 14:49:14
I got my StarRouter, and with the supplies I already have for my never-used StarController I had it up and connected to my Mac.

However, the disks for the StarController do not work on the Router.

So I'm looking for anyone that may have some StarCommand 2.2 Disks for the StarRouter.

Until I found those, I just bought a fancy bliken-lights box that can sit next to my mac.

note: that diskette there is NOT the correct one. It's for my StarController and didn't work with the Router. I'm looking for the same disk, but it would have come with a StarRouter.

I'll start looking around and see what I can come up with

Yeah, googling brought me to a posting from 8 years ago on LEM list- someone in midwest had them. I emailed him but they were long gone... 🙂 It was worth a shot, as they were a Mac Store that was still in business.

Hi! I want to buy it too, don't you know where to get it nowadays?

There is this link in the Macintosh Garden: macintoshgarden.org/apps/farallon-legacy-drivers

Oh, I mean the router itself. However, thanks for drivers too.

My apologies, Gina. I read the first posting, found them in the Mac Garden and made my posting, without properly reading all of the other posts.

My best guess would be to spend about an hour looking through all of the eBay country sites with the search option set for that country only.

In my experience, most sellers are prepared to sell abroad if asked nicely. You Need to enquire about shipping costs though and you may need an electrical adaptor afterwards as well.

Thank you for this suggestion, I'll try!
