Dead iBook G3

I have an iBook G3 14'' with ram installed but without hard disk and when I try to boot it makes 3 beeps and then nothing.The previous owner said that it was dead but I want try to fix it if its possible.

3 beeps means RAM failure. 
The iBooks have 128MB of soldered RAM (64MB in the earlier models), plus a single slot for memory expansion. 
I would try to remove the RAM in the memory slot and see if the system boots; if so, the problem might simply be a defective RAM bank, and you should later try with another one!

I tried again without the memory expansion but nothing happens.

What would happen if you tried a new PC133 ram stick in her? Or if the hardwired ram is shot, would you have to replace that chip or the board first?
