512 x 384...what monitors can I use for this resolution?

That's about it. Most multi-sync monitors can't handle that resolution without major software hackage. (And I'm not sure such hackage is even possible on the Mac OS.)

Scott I assume you mean color? Either way AnonymousFreak, that's not quite right, though multi-synch monitors do present a bigger challenge:

It also depends on the video card you are attaching it to and what you are using it for ...

My AppleVision 1710AV can handle 512x384.

Bit of a waste though, unless you're setting it up for someone who has really bad vision and needs everything to be big for them.

Actually, it's because I like compact-specific programs to display like the do on Compacts and without the desktop border (and my vision is going...)

if you can find drivers for it i dont see why any kind of monitor cant do it, i can force my ENViSION monitor up to as high as 1900x1080x32@60 and down to as low as 320x280x32@220 useing my ATi Catalyst control panel.
