Hey all, I've got a fellow having problems viewing text on his iMac. I've included a few screen shots to let you know what I'm talking about. I've searched preferences and tried to make the same thing happen in my own Mac but have had no luck. Has anyone else run into this problem, but with a fix?

Thanks for any help!

well it would help if you gave more info

what kind of imac what system etc

it could be the vid card on its way out but if it is this is a very specific problem on that matter

thats what i was going to say, if there is bad or multiple fonts this is one of the many issues you will see.

a easy way to correct it is to backup and reinstall, one reason i say this is cause you don't really know the extent of damage there is and would cure just about everything to start new, that is if cleaning the font cache and checking for double fonts dont cure it (but more then likely will).
