| Portable Prototype |
Posted by: Mac128 on 2007-12-28 09:04:52 This is the one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120203169986&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123
Ironic isn't it? All the "Super Rare" hype that accompanies common Mac stuff on eBay by other vendors and this guy REALLY doesn't know what he has! This has to be one of the most super-rare items out there! And the starting bid is $99? Should be fun to watch what this sells for!

Posted by: Anonymous Freak on 2007-12-28 13:06:27 Well, I just drove the price up by $100. Instantly outbid. It's nice, but I don't have the multiple hundreds of dollars that it will likely go for.

Posted by: bluekatt on 2007-12-28 14:48:17 its nice but its still a portable albeit in a translucent case

Posted by: Mike Richardson on 2007-12-28 16:28:16 ROFL - he thinks its some kind of Data Modem.
|
Posted by: alk on 2007-12-28 18:29:51 I'm thinking closer to $2000.
We should have a competition to pick the final bid amount for that machine. No guesses allowed within the last 24 hours of the auction. Whoever wins (closest without going over - Bob Barker rules) gets a free... Anybody got any old Mac junk to donate?
Peace,
Drew

Posted by: Mike Richardson on 2007-12-28 19:13:00 How about a free 5200/75 LC shipped to CONUS.
|
Posted by: equant on 2008-01-03 12:50:16 2 hours to go in case anyone's got to have it.
|
Posted by: Anonymous Freak on 2008-01-03 13:39:52 And only $304 at the moment...
Dang it... Now I'm tempted. But I'm assuming the first bidder posted a ridiculously high sum.

Posted by: Mike Richardson on 2008-01-03 14:50:03 Some crazy motherf***** bid US $1,257.91 right at the last second.
Holy s***!
My highest bid was $221.00. I was contemplating $300 because I knew I could flip it right away with the correct title and make a lot more. I bet the seller just creamed his pants!

Posted by: MrMacintosh on 2008-01-03 15:28:31 I saw that as well! 8-o And, I just eBay messaged the winning bidder explaining this website and politely invited him to share some information about the computer. Here's hoping he does...
Kyle-
Edit: he said he would be more than happy to share more detailed photos and such. 😎

Posted by: Mike Richardson on 2008-01-03 15:50:00 That's awesome. Looking forward to those pics.

Posted by: Temetka on 2008-01-03 19:05:47 Holy cripes!
Winning bid: US $1,257.91
Wow.
|
Posted by: alk on 2008-01-03 22:20:41 That's actually less than I expected. Still, it's pretty impressive.
Peace,
Drew

|
Posted by: alk on 2008-01-04 19:36:22 TAMs aren't that rare. Anyone with the cash can buy one on eBay. They come up pretty frequently.
