| Freecycle B&W! |
Posted by: MacTCP on 2007-11-30 18:48:31 I just sent a message to somebody offering 3 PPC macs. 😀

Posted by: tmtomh on 2007-11-30 19:49:07 Hope you get them - but with Freecycle and free computers, don't count your chickens before they've hatched!

M I have to agree - I've gotten some great stuff via FreeCycle (and Craigslist), but at least 9/10 of them fall through.
Let us know how it goes!

Posted by: MacTCP on 2007-11-30 20:57:13 Hardly anyone around here knows what a mac is. :-/
With it being called (3) Fully operational Mac Power PC (good shape ), some people might not realize it's a computer. [xx(] ]'>

Posted by: LCGuy on 2007-11-30 20:58:27 yes, but everyone knows what "PC" means. 😉
|
Posted by: MacTCP on 2007-11-30 21:00:35 oh, a powerful pc!
but there's hope! :-x

Posted by: MacTCP on 2007-12-01 19:57:39 There hasn't been any update at all. The fact that an Eeyore Stocking got claimed in 7 minutes worries me. But the fact that a Win98 PC got claimed in 2 days makes me keep up hope. It's so suspenseful. [8]

Posted by: MacTCP on 2007-12-05 13:12:45 Wanted ads work!! I made a wanted ad, and I already am getting some sort of G3 without a hard drive, and more. :beige:

Posted by: Bunsen on 2007-12-06 19:41:28 A single wanted post to my local Freecycle group sure served me well
|
Posted by: MacTCP on 2007-12-07 14:52:28 I picked up the G3 today. Here's what it was:
450mhz B&W G3
No HD
640mb RAM
Zip Drive
CD-ROM Drive
Original Keyboard
I gave some RAM to my G4, so the G4 has 1GB, and the G3 has 340mb.
🙂 :beige: :b&w:

Posted by: Quadraman on 2007-12-07 18:10:29 First free B&W I've heard about and a 450mhz model no less. The 450's all had the later revision motherboards and ROMs, so a lot of bugs from the earlier models were worked out by the time they were released. One worth keeping for as along as you can keep getting parts for it.

Posted by: MacTCP on 2007-12-07 19:07:06 Yes, I am liking this mac very much. I'm looking at HDs right now. [🙂] ]'>

Posted by: MacTCP on 2007-12-08 20:13:00 This HD would work in a B&W, right? |
Posted by: tmtomh on 2007-12-08 21:05:43 Should work just fine.
