Running System 7.5 and Netscape 3.
The system that came with it was borked, so that was the source of the issue. It is amazing how long these macs last.

Cool - I really like Q800s. Fast '040, compatible with A/UX, high RAM ceiling. Case isn't so easy to get into, but not nearly as bad as folks say.

Whenever a Mac has an issue, it is usually down to a corrupted system folder or corrupted program data. The hardware almost always holds up a lot better than a same era PC.
