| SCI (Sierra) games on G3/G4 systems |

I've been experiencing problems running SCI engine games on modern PPC systems. Both Space Quest 1 Enhanced and Larry 1 Enhanced enters into infinite loops during some parts of the game, which makes them unplayable. Larry seems to work with my G3 but this happens with Space Quest 1 even in 68040 systems... Is there a fix for such problems? Would G3 Throttle make them run smoothly? I tried with both OS 8.6 and 9.2.2 but same problems.

Try Sierra adventure game patch. That fixed similar problem with Kings Quest V for me.

Thank you sooooooooooo much!!! this had actually something to do with the date because they were working when I had a dead battery.

Unfortunately that didn't fix the infinite loop problem, but I could play the games by setting my mac to a different date.
