| UnZip with System 6 |

Is there any software that will unzip .zip files under System 6? I tried all the stuffits, but they need System 7 for the versions that unzip .zips.

There is an old shareware program called "ZipIt 1.3.5" that seems to work.
I don't currently have a convenient way to upload something that is on a Sys-6 machine (working on that).

Does anybody have a copy of that they could beam me? I googled it and couldn't find a copy for download. If nobody has it, I found out it is included with this book.

Just a general note, but if you are looking for quick answers and downloads, the System 6 Heaven site is always a good starting point. The 68000 Mac Internet FAQ is also a useful resource when you are trying to bring something "new" (OK, about 1995 vintage) to a 68K Mac on System 6.

Have you tried the ZipIt web page? http://www.maczipit.com/download.html
Its by the same author that is listed in the 1.3.5 splash screen.
He lists a version 1.4 that works on Macs earlier than Sys 8.6. Since its shareware there is no harm in trying it. If that doesn't work you can contact the author and ask if he can supply version 1.3.5 which does work on Sys 6.0.8

I got my ZipIt 1.3.5 from the CD-ROM. When I run it, I get this, then this. Any ideas on how to make it work? Is there another System 6 App to extract zips? :?:
