Do you mean 20mb (16+4)?
My apologies yes that's what I meant to say.

Bad news still doesn't work, loads into the OS only when extensions are disabled. With extensions you get a Error 10 Bomb. When It loads without extensions you get the typical blank background, no words, and a lonesome mouse. Is there anything else we can try?
Error 10 = illegal 68k instruction
=> https://apple.fandom.com/wiki/System_error_dialog_box

So there is a ppc init that tries to load when it should not. Can you try to boot with extension off and remove all extensions like « PPC » or « Power(something) » (I.e. PowerPlug …) then reboot normally

You can also try to boot while pressing space bar to load extension manager at boot to switch on/off Extensions that can crash because their related to PPC arch. If you can't load extension manager at boot by this way so one of the faulty extension is loaded before the one that manage EM load at startup (like AppleCD driver from my experience …).
You have to know that Extensions are loaded by alphabetical order so any extension which has its name starting by a white-space or special character like tilde will be loaded before "a"

I did this as well and still same result with extensions locks up, without I get a frozen background and a mouse that moves. I even went into sheepsaver and disabled the extensions taht had red “x’s” over them.

ok, as soon as possible, I will use DiskJockey to make a proper disk image with driver. 🙂

As you can read on this thread, this wonderfull tool can now add SCSI driver on an existing hdd image:

To let you know … I did try to use Disk Jockey to add a driver on the system77 image but Disk Jockey crash on opening it.
I am working with OneGeekArmy to fix this.

I will test this evening on my 6100 ! 🙂

How did this turn out?
Posted by: zefrenchtoon on 2022-07-18 11:55:27
Bad … but I was short in time so I could not test it very well ^^'

More precisely, Disk Jockey do its job as exepcted but I had different disk image on my microSD card on my BlueSCSI and I could not get the good one to boot on it.

The good news is that some of my friends just offered me a nice gift so I will be able to test all the way to 68040. 😉

Stay tuned !

@zefrenchtoon was 68k compatibility ever verified or found to work?

The installer was on the drive. I booted a 630 (68040) from a fresh install. It was a little buggy - specifically crashed instead of shutting down.

Strange I’ve had a few people say that it doesn’t boot at all on machines such as the 475 IIci or other machines

Sorry for the late answer, I was in holiday with my family in an area with a very poor connection 😅
Using my system77 image on my 475, I have the same problem as you. Even if I disable all init/cdev it does not work. 🙁
I think that it does not like the mix of 68k and ppc code in system suitcase. I will have to try to do an install using only 68k options.
A new blueSCSI is on its way to go inside my 475. It wiil be easier then.

How did you get the installer to work ?? 😱
On my 475@33MHz, I tried to launch installer and it refuses (using the main installer or the root one) as you can see in my photos. 🙁

By the way, I noticed the presence of a "DFA Server" which could be "Disk First Aid Server". Any idea of the use of this ?? 🤔

Oh interesting, the installer is approved for the 630 but not the 475.

Easy fix, just run "Wish I Were" as a Quadra or Performa 630 then run the installer on your LC 475.

Any success getting this to work on a IIfx, or no dice on an 030?
Posted by: jajan547 on 2022-09-06 05:00:37
I tried to make my 475 recognize itself as a PPC but no dice
