Not seen many, have a pair, one exactly the same you posted the picture of, and another smaller.

How much smaller?

Anyway, I just wanted to snap them into the slots on my Mac Plus & Keyboard just 'cause, however they seem too uncommon.

My IIGS also has the same type of slot, come to think of it the one on the IIGS might be smaller... I'll check.

This is already posted in another thread, but I'm going to re-post it here for good measure:

I just got my Floppy Emu in the mail today and am trying to do afresh System 6.0.8 install but I’ve run into a problem. When I get to the installation program I try to install but I get this error message:

Anyone know what the error means?

Yes

No way System 6 will be able to install in a 2 Gb disk.

you need to split the disk in several partitions, will probably work fine afterwards.

Hmm... Well, I found this post by Bunsen that seems to suggest it is possible. However, I could be reading it incorrectly.

Edit: I’m going to try Partition half of the drive like you said, I’ll post the results when done.

Alright! Yep, partitioned half of the drive and it’s working!

Now onto the other problems...

I had an Ehman external HD back when (power supply failed; still have the HD itself). I have the genuine Ehman utility disks; I can certainly make copies for you if you like.
Do you still hace those images?

Perfect... The HD decided to not work on me, so now I'm diagnosing the HD.

Whenever I attempted to format it, it's seems to be doing fine up until the "Verifying Format" part. When it tries to "Verify" it makes some pretty nasty noises. When it got to that point I called it a night and went to sleep, when I woke up and tried again it couldn't find the drive, and the icing to the cake is the Ehman enclosure decided to break on me. what I mean by "Break" is that the 50-Pin Connector decided to pop off leaving the ribbon exposed, so as I am writing this I'm super gluing it together... I guess on the bright side I've got my Floppy Emu.

Ok, so I'm looking for a replacement 50-Pin connector for the HD case. I don't know the exact dimensions or part number so I guess I'll try browsing Mouser.

I'm considering placing extra fans in the HD case and the Plus, the case seems easy.

I do, I can send it wherever you like.
Do you know if Ehman ever had schematics for their products?

Why I say the case looks easy is because of these:

Alright, Iv'e gotten myself into a predicament.

The 50-pin connector fell off the ribbon, so i decided to super glue it back on, but when it dried guess what? the key was on the wrong side so I'm now replacing it and the ribbon.

IMG_1143.JPG

The reason I'm going to replace it is that the ribbon is for some reason in individual pieces. For flexibility perhaps?

I'd assume another 50 would do.

I'd also like to know what is the difference between a pass through and a non-pass through terminator is. Do they terminate the same or do they have a difference?

Thanks in advance,

-Jack

A pass-through terminator should work just as well as a regular terminator.
