there might be some advantages of 7.5.3 even if it's flaky and I can have Mac OS 8.1 on the other partition if I need it. Maybe this approach would be less of a headache for you! OS 8.1 is perfectly good too (did you purchase it?). | Posted by: Snial on 2024-01-04 09:27:14

Hi, @croissantking, yes I bought the British Mac OS 8.0 CD when it came out and there was a free upgrade to 8.1 as we know. That was part of the fun of upgrading the PowerBook 1400c in my own pretty crude way, starting with its original 750MB HD. | | < 4 |
