Power Mac 7500

Erm, no. Measure from the /back/ of the connector with it plugged into the board and it powered on.
Having more trouble. How do I get it through the back? The wire makes it so it can’t get fully through

Fair point. I was in 8100 mode. The connector is more accessible on some models.

I'll leave it to someone else to suggest a safe way of doing it, because I can't think of one I'm willing to suggest to you.

The monitor I ordered is coming today. I will be able to see soon whether it displays anything

That will be good. Helpful to see if you're getting any output.

What are the voltage readings from the battery? Have you tried booting without the battery installed?

The battery is new, it outputs 3.6v. No I haven’t tried to boot without the battery.

Booting without battery has no change. The monitor was delayed and will be arriving today instead.

image.jpgimage.jpgThe monitor says no signal. Any ideas? I feel like it should at least send a input.

This is the settings for the dips. I don’t know which one to do. http://myoldmac.net/FAQ/RGB-VGA-DIP-switchconfiguration.htm

You may need to adjust those DIP switches. Try some of the settings for 640x480 or 800x600.

But it could be a marginal power supply. If there's no chime, and no video output, it is not starting.

If you have an ATX power supply, it could be adapted to TEST the machine with - but the pins are not directly compatible so you would need to map them to the 7500's power pins.

@Stinkerton18 put together a helpful guide here too https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bKPddE9kDlInQ7N9fnO5qmQgvXjlHdIV0GcKRVskbZs/edit#gid=0

I’m thinking about recapping the power supply.

You definitely need to change the DIP switches. Your pic shows them all on, which is not a valid combination. Try each of the settings in the 13 RGB row.

Test with another one or an ATX one first. Not worth the effort/money to recap until you verify that's actually the problem IMO.

I have a ATX from my iici, and a modern psu from my old gaming Computer. Which one do I use?

The 145 works works for my iici, but not on my pm7500.

You need to rewire it. The pinout isn't the same.

I just started doing things with computers. Do you have a YouTube video or a guide that could help? Thank you!

I'd suggest trying to borrow or buy a working 7500 PSU. Converting an ATX could lead to accidents if you're not confident.
