I had difficultly removing the cable strain relief grip. It ended up being easier to just bend back the wings of the metal frame. I reversed the process to reinstall it after recapping. Let me know if there is a better way.
I use a small parallel clamping wrench on the underside of the strain relief to remove it from the PSU. With a tight enough compression of the strain relief, it can be wiggled upward and out of the case. |

Heyco pliers are the appropriate tool for those who might have to do this more than once. I picked up a pair on eBay for ~ $50 USD. |

@shirsch I had no idea these existed. They are some knock-offs on eBay that aren't very expensive at all. |

I didn’t know about the strain relief pliers, either. If I hadn’t finished with my Seasonic conversions (I prefer the Astek cases for this), I’d get a set of those. The parallel clamping wrench works, but I’m sure the strain relief pliers fit better into the cramped space, and do a better job overall. |
