1/2 AA battery Replacement! MoewToast Rev. 2

I bought several of these a month or so ago, but have only installed one. I noticed that it's a bit wobbly side-to-side when installed. I wonder if any of those 3D printing gurus out there has a solution to make it sit in the socket supported...?

The top plastic should help hold it in place. but ... they are normally a very snug fit.. for the Meow Toast Rev 2 the rev3 isn't as snug though...

I am currently working Case for Pis that is also modeled after Mac Plus... after I Get that done I will see about making a clip for the meowToast Rev2/3Capture.PNG

LOL, I should have thought of that. It just didn't occur to me to put the original clip back on. I didn't think it would fit, but now that I look at it, It prolly fits like a glove. <facepalm>

Dang! That is cool. I hope you share it when you're done. I assume you've got a specific size LCD screen in mind... I'm very interested. I even had a friend print me out this Make a tiny Mac from a Pi Zero instructable for me. It's cool, but the screen is sooooooo tiny it makes it un-usable for anyone over 40! LOL

That tiny mac for the Pi Zero is where I got the idea... I wanted something a little easier to get screen wise. Then I wanted something slightly bigger but not to big as it is kind of a desk toy ... I Upgraded to a 3.5 inch screen... IT still isn't finalized I may go with a 4.3 or 5 inch screen.

As for will I share it when I am done yep... and I will also be selling high quality versions of it printed out in almost prefect color.

Superb! I don't want to completely hijack this thread. So the last thing I'll say is I would be interested in purchasing a case for one if it was platinum and looked like an SE/30! 🙂

That may happen I still need to get it to be an easily printable thing and I am working with another person to help make it so we have to decide
how to handle things together lol. He isn't a fan of the se/30 but I can always make the model SE/30 like as a lot of people love them.

Got mine in the mail the other day -- look great! Got one installed in the IIci but haven't actually powered it on yet 🙂 It's been running without a battery at all for over a year - will be weird to see it retain its 32bit configuration!

Got mine yesterday, very nice. One suggestion though, put the battery type on the PCB. Got to work with one in my pocket and ?????

Love the Plus Bezel LCD adapter. In a word: BEAUTIFUL! 😉

The back of the PCB should have it written on it. It is CR2032 it is fairly small font, But I do also state in the description what it uses as well. I certainly want to make sure people do know what kind of battery. I hope this helps also thanks for the input. IMG_1587.jpg

I do hope you are enjoying yours ... As for the LCD bracket I going to add some clips here soon for helping to hold an LCD screen with.

Mine say meowTOAST at the top of the PCB with BetterBit lower left, GEEKY BIT lower right and no pretty purple to be seen.

Oh yes those were the Rev3s I think it was an over site that they don't say CR2032... Thanks for letting me know

When I go to order a new batch of those I will make sure that they indeed say CR2032 😀
