Shame you don't have the original board, the 638 has an extra RAM slot compared to my 630 and I'd love to have the extra RAM capacity...

Not all 638's had two ram slots. ine does but thats because I happen to find a board with them. And yes it had the original 638 board in it from original owner.

I'm casually looking for a 5200/6200 pretty much to experience this specifically.
And this old Performa keeps freezing and crashing instead of telling me the problem. There's a bunch of things that could be wrong. Macs were never the best at providing technical details about issues. Does it appear to happen when you're running a particular program or after a certain amount of time or are there any other patterns?

Conflict catcher helped with alot of extension and control panel issues. ATM was always a big one that interfered with everything.
