Posted by: nottomhanks on 2024-01-19 11:08:25I just got the BlueSCSI v2 with WIFI running on my Mac Portable. I'm wondering if this software will work with that? Has anyone tried this with less than a 68030 Mac?

I've got a BlueSCSI v2 installed in my Mac SE/30 as well. Trying to get it going via the WebOne SSL tunneling in MacIPRpi. @nottomhanks you have any luck?
After getting my LC on Wi-Fi using the new DaynaPORT SCSI/Link emulation for BlueSCSIs, I wanted to try using a proxy to visit SSL-enabled (HTTPS) websites from a vintage Mac. As you may know, 68k based Macs don't have enough computing muscle to handle the encryption employed by modern SSL...

Posted by: hifimac on 2024-02-28 11:08:44Not sure @ants is keeping up with this project anymore. The Mac WIFI app they wrote is specifically designed to work with the OpenWRT router they were using and from my limited networking knowledge, WebOne is only a proxy server for web browsers, and I don't seem to find a way to funnel all networking traffic from the classic Mac through it to get the MacPlayer app to authorize over SSL.
I'm going to go about this what may be an easier way, setup a web server that scrapes Spotify now playing data, and renders it on a simple HTTP webpage you can load up on the classic Mac. I'd love to figure out a way to have it dither the album art on a modern browser as well.

It's nearly a year since this comment so I don't have high hopes but I'm really curious: hey @hifimac, did you ever make any progress on this? I have an SE/30 with network access sitting above my daily workstation, and I would *love* to have it just display the cover art of whatever I happen to be listening to in Spotify...
