| Posted by: Bolle on 2018-03-10 00:00:27 Just checked, mine shows up as Futura II LX/DSP in Tattletech. I can‘t get the CP to load though. Whenever I place either 3.5.5 or 3.5.6 into the system folder the Finder will crash hard on startup. Resolution switching also does not work. I might just have to get out a different adapter for that... this one is supposed ro mimic a multisync display but you never know how well non-Apple cards pick up on the sense line magic. | |

PDS connector is edge card, but radius of the corner curve on the cage is greater than those of my IIsi or 6100 cages and it's in the wrong spot as well, double curved? Don't remember the cage in the long lost 660AV, so Quadra? Very curious, timeline on the QFP chipset seems off to me, third party 6100 sheet metal? edit: where's the crystal can, that black high profile thingie on the corner? Also, the punch for the bent retainer/standoff under it is rounded off. Maybe the cage in my 6100 is third party, included with the G3? | |

Do I already need the patch you posted earlier for 7.5.5? jt: That's an Apple 6100 adapter: 820-0515-A If you have a G3 upgrade then you have the PDS bracket which is different from the Nubus bracket I think. | |

Looks like thyere are plenty of pins for that. also looks like address and data lines head through it, so I'm guessing it's a single IC with controllers and transceivers on board? | |

I love all the weird stuff Digidesign made back in the day. | |

I wonder why all those Thunder cards pop up everywhere just right now 😛 The third card looks to be some kind of interface for an ECRM imagesetter. Pretty useless without the actual machine but it came for free 😉 | |

I have a Compaq TFT8030 mulitsync display that works nicely with anything I did throw at it yet - it even displays strange pivot resolutions. I used one of those DB15->VGA adapters with dip switches to hook it up to the breakout of the card. Your display and adapter have to support sync on green to work with the SE/30 card. The ProNitron GA might work with the drivers of the ProLegend card I have. I can send you my archive of Formac drivers later today if you want. | |

Sweet sweet Digidesign stuff - two Interface cards and one DSP farm with TDM piggybacks included:  And two CNET Ethernet cards including manual and driver floppy. The floppy won't read in any drive I tried so far though :/ It doesn't look like CNET drivers are available anywhere, at least on a first quick look.  | |

| Posted by: CC_333 on 2018-06-22 10:00:14 Time Division Multiplex. They're basically DSP cards for processing audio much faster, and of much higher quality, than would be possible using the Mac's CPU. Same concept as Photoshop DSPs that can accelerate some plugins. c | |

| Posted by: Bolle on 2018-06-22 12:11:44 The TDM piggybacks used time division multiplex to transfer audio data between multiple cards over a separate bus cable. That way you could for example transfer audio data coming in from one of the interface cards to a DSP farm running some plugin in realtime and transfer the modified audio right to your disk I/O card where it gets written to disk all without clogging up Nubus. You can connect different audio interfaces to those cards. They should work with either the 442, 882 or 888. 442 offers four symmetric XLR inputs, 882 has eight asymmetric inputs and the 888 has eight XLR inputs. You could connect a guitar right to the 882 without using a DI-box for example. I have an 882 already and looking to get a 442 as well if one crosses my way for a good price. | |
