It's sluggish, but it's able top render many modern websites. I can even log in to Facebook, and see my notifications. Really wishing I had Ethernet for my SE/30... I don't know much about networking, but it was surprisingly easy to set it up. Almost plug & play. I installed the card and the drivers, connected the cable to an N300 extender (someone recommended this is in a previous thread) and entered the IP address and the router address. Now, surfing on the SE/30 might not be ideal, but I found a 1996 client for the Internet Chess Club (still hosted on their FTP) that allows to play chess online, no lag at all. I'm looking for more useful applications of the Ethernet connection.
Posted by: Themk on 2017-04-03 17:43:37 I understand that it is easy to do, but you omitted what I said about "being too cheap". Perhaps you didn't fully understand what I was trying to say. What I was trying to say is that I am unable to afford much more than a $15 LocalTalk to Ethernet bridge. (Man does school make you broke :-/ )
