PB190 & System 7.1?
Posted by: Snial on 2025-09-05 14:44:31 Is the lower RAM usage also because the Q650 is running in 24-bit mode? Good point, I hadn't checked. In fact it was in 32-bit mode, but switching to 24-bit mode was the same: 2495kB to 2506kB.

That way, for older software, the older Sound Manager would be used, and you could disable the extension to get Sound Manager 3 handling back for software that needs it.

It's not in an extension; we'd have to rip it from the system file and build it based on how the 3.0 is constructed.
