Quadra 800

Or maybe if I may be so bold, can anyone take a picture of the inside part of your bezels and case front so I can get an idea ?
You'll want a photo from an Quadra 800 fitted with a tray loader CD driver really. All we'll. Able to show is what our mix of machines are. None of us (that have spoken about it) seem to have a Q800.

At what resolution? It's OK on my LC 475 but that's @ 45MHz (accelerated with a clone of a weird Formac accelerator although there's other ways to get those running faster).
Anything not 320x200 really.
But I just realized that the game does not seem to simply scale the picture. When set to 640x480, it actually seems to compute 640 rays per frame. That would explain a lot. (In addition to the executable being maybe not optimized for anything more than 68020 ?)

I hoped to be able to understand if other cd bezel have an equivalent eject button system and se if the withe crossbar is thinner 😀

On the CD bezel question, I recall having trouble with mine also. It was maybe four years ago, but as I recall, the bezel from an 8500 would not fit the Q800, and I went back to using the original blank (I have some external scsi drives, so that was no special bother). The machine was subsequently sold on prior to a cross-country move, so I can no longer check.

It seems the white bar was made smaller on post CD-tray models :

Yes, seems that Q800 (early ones at least) and later models with same case have actually a slightly different front 🙁
I don't want to butcher my nice looking Q800, I'll see if I can get a different front adapted without using a dremel.

You can actually mostly manage without the button to be honest. You can eject from inside the OS.

This had not even crossed my mind 🤦‍♂️
I'm too PC oriented 😀
I'll print a bezel without the button hole and try like that. It's better than the external drive or the facade swap with a 8100/8200/8500 I think.

Thanks !
