| "Power Macintosh Card" and "601 Processor Upgrade" - What is the difference? |

I've recently acquired an Apple 601 (50/66Mhz) card in a bombed 475. Does anyone have schematics for these? I'm probably going to have a go at overclocking a 575 and 475 with/without the upgrade card. |

I think your initial thoughts are correct @Phipli. The 601 Processor Upgrade control panel is for the 475/etc card only as far as I know. |

Following up on this: I have two of these cards, one has bent/broken pins on the 040, and the other one gives me no video when switching from 040 to 601 boot. Will always show desktop when booting to 040. |

Hi there, I am keeping both of them, as I got the 2nd one repaired by purchasing a series of replacement 040 sockets. Thankfully it's back in business. The reason the one was booting to black was because I was using the wrong extension. I have two Color Classic Mystic PPCs, and I may sell one of them in the fall. |
