Mobius 030 Accelerator Problem

Well, the data's definitely gone...

I can find the chip but I'm gonna need to... Well, you know, I don't have the code that was on that. The programmed code.

The code is loaded into them at runtime. But it is probably just for the video circuit so just leave it out for now. Put it somewhere safe.

Well, if you're lucky it might not have damaged too much else. Like I said, leave the socket empty, you probably don't need it anyway. Does the SE still work without the card?

Yes, it does. The Xilinx XC2064 PC68C is a FPGA, where does the code come from if not already pre-programmed in?

Yeah, checked the manual, the SE must have some RAM installed on the logic board. At least 512k.

Code isn't baked into an FPGA, it is provided as a bitstream, either from a ROM chip, or in this case, more likely a bitstream written out by the driver on the SE when the video driver loads.

That chip is just used for the video out.

Leave it out until you get everything else working, you don't know what other damage you did putting it in the wrong way.

As far as I can tell, nothing else is damaged. Honestly, I'm just at the end of my rope. I really can't troubleshot this myself, It's too in depth for me.
Leave it out until you get everything else working, you don't know what other damage you did putting it in the wrong way.

Well, have you done the steps in the very first reply? What are the voltages when the accelerator is running?

check the RAM and see if the power supply is supplying the proper 5V and 12V, you can get access to both to probe through the floppy port

I just want this fucking thing to work. That's all I fucking want. I can't fucking have that. I've even tried this on another SE, by the way. Same result.

Yes, I have tested the voltages with the accelerator. They're correct, like I assumed.

Also, I've purchased a replacement XC2064. The same problem persists however.
