Another accessible option is to use a ZuluSCSI Pico, a BlueSCSI (whichever variant they put a Pico W in), or my own SillyTinySCSI.
Any of these can make use of Daynaport emulation over Wifi: this means with nothing more than aforementioned scsi emulator and a wireless network you can get your system online. Only caveat is your mileage may vary using AFP: not all access points/routers treat it correctly. |

I've just connected to the Macintosh Garden with an ancient browser from my Powerbook 180 using Theoldnet Modem.
- I'm using Zterm 1.0.1 (from the Garden) to talk to the modem.
- I'm using MacTCP 2.0.6 and MacPPP 2.1.1 (from the Garden).
- I'm using Netscape Navigator 2.01.
TCP and PPP are set as shown in attached photos. DNS is 8.8.8.8 (Google's DNS). Use your own IP and gateway settings. Type ATI in ZTerm (once connected to your Wifi) gives you these values.
When all is set (and the machine has been rebooted after setting MacTCP, and you're reconnected to your wifi with the modem), use ATDTPPP to start the modem's PPP server. Then close ZTerm. Then open the browser and type http://www.macintoshgarden.org or theoldnet.com/lite.
The modem is set to 9600 baud which is really, really slow. I hope to be able to up the speed.
My system language is German but this should be very easy to figure out in other languages. Have fun! |

Correction and update: In TCP, I'm NOT using the "Manual" setting but the "Server" one (middle radio button). While I do need to enter the Gateway, I do NOT need to enter the IP. The panel will show the assigned IP once you've connected to Theoldnet Modem's PPP server using the MacPPP control panel. |

I have had success using the BlueSCSI v2 and Joe's Computer Museum had stock of the fully assembled kit not too long ago. Also uses DaynaPORT emulation for WiFi connectivity. |
