BlueSCSI Questions for Mac Plus

I'm quite sure Apple HD SC will not work.
I suggest you just try to mount the image I sent with Lido or similar.

and...if I try to create 2 partitions: one exfat 20Mb with a bank .hda image and the second in another format that is not recognised by The plus ( HFS+ for example) , do u think that Apple SC HD Setup will try to initialise only the 20Mb partition??

The BlueSCSI doesn't work with partitions. You should have a single partition for the whole card and put your HDA files there. Each file will be recognised as a hard disk (or CD).
And as I said, Apple SC HD should not be used.
What happens when you list the SCSI drives with Lido?

Hello,
the idea is to run Lido in the Plus, so you'd have to copy it to a floppy.
Did you try to reformat the card with a single partition and copy the HDA there?
In one of the rest replies other folk pointed you to some pre-made images that you can use.

Ok, so I’ve been tried some times with a single partition but nothing…. Maybe tomorrow I try with another pre-made image…. But… I was thinking… and if the problem is that I haven’t soldering the diode yet?
Posted by: pfuentes69 on 2023-04-21 14:02:24
Without the diode you need to power the BlueSCSI via usb, but it will work the same.

Ok. I will try again today…thanks!

Hi i have some news I've soldered the diode....I've been tried some times and....it works with system 5 but....a message appears that's it's not enough space on rom disk. If I click on Macintosh Finder I have a lot of memory free in Finder but the system seems full....I have also try to install from floppy Italian version of system 5 but a message appears that I have to set the Apple HD Sc as run application. I set it and restart, the same message appears....do u have any idea???

It works!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but there's only one problem. when the plus starts, a message that there's not enough space on rom disk appears. I can work, and made some operations. why this message appears?

Hi! Aha ok!

Interesting... how many images you have now in the BlueSCSI? Could it be that some of these images is named "ROM Disk".

The other option I can imagine is that you have a ROMinator in your Plus...

I have Only one image with System 5 ! i’ve bene format the SD before copying the image .hda and a fine…??.ini ( I don’t remember the name). What is rominator??
Posted by: silvi89UD on 2023-04-25 01:56:27
File .ini sorry

ROMinator is an special ROM that has some possibilities, such as a ROM disk
if you have one, you'd see a message in your Mac proposing you to boot from the ROM disk, and the happy Mac icon shown at boot changes to a "pirate" Mac

Ok, I understand! But not…. I’ve been copy all files from my original floppys and create the image, nothing else. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
