| Replacement Laserwriter Toner Drum Blades |

Is this the cleaning blade? If so the plastic is in one piece, however its far from the drum which would explain why the toner is not removed from the drum. I removed the 2 screws but cant get the cleaning blade out. |

It is pretty simple.
-Put the cartridge on a large piece of paper, cardboard, in a tub, whatever, so toner powder doesn't go everywhere.
-Gather two small flathead screwdrivers and one regular sized Phillips.
-Locate the two plastic plugs on either side of the cartridge. They are round and have a circular indent/hole.
-Pull them outwards by flipping the cartridge over (underside up), locating the plugs. Put one flathead screwdriver into the outer hole of the plug at an angle, which grips it and turn it. Use the other screwdriver to push a tab in so the plug and be pulled out.
-Flip the cartridge right side up.
-Remove the white little plastic lock piece thing from the side of the cartridge. It holds in the corona assembly. Pry outwards and remove.
-Lift up corona assembly, be careful to not roughly handle it or drop it on the drum.
-Remove two Phillips screw from wiper blade. Carefully pry out and lift up.
-Dust new blade with toner powder or drum powder, coat drum with same. Install new blade.
-Assemble in reverse.

Just saw the reply above. That is the doctor blade (I think), NOT the blade you will be replacing. |

I just got an email from precision roller and the cleaning blades are your of stock. Good news is there must be a demand for them as they are getting more stock on 3/21. So we will get fresh blades! |

Huh, mine shipped out today. I must have gotten the last two. I'll provide a comparison photo of a new and old blade once it arrives. |

Also I have a brand new HP 95A I got on ebay $5.00, anything I can do or put it in and remove the tape ? |

I don't have any more cartridges to rebuild at the moment, so I don't have a need for a video yet. If you want to use the ebay one, I'd just assume it has a bad blade and replace it before peeling the tape. Cuts down on the toner mess. |

How dirty is the printer inside? When I restored my IIg, I had to take the mirror out and clean it. That improved print quality. |

Looks a lot better. I see some ghosting though, it may clear up on its own, or may get worse (means new blade needed). Run a few more prints and see what happens. |

I will print a few more and see what happens. I just got a rebuilt HP cart I can try. The guy said I can return if it doesn't work. The first HP cart is much better than the Apple. Lets see what happens with this new cart |

Got the new blades in. Happy to say there is now a confirmed new blade available. See the difference between new and old below. NOTE: The new blade comes with a piece of shiny metal attached with double sided tape. Photo of how the new blades come on the bottom, middle is with the piece removed, top is 25 year old original.
The extra metal piece may be a protector shield to prevent the corona assembly from getting dirty, not sure if it will fit as I don't have a cartridge open at the moment.
So these blades will work for all Apple LaserWriter II cartridges, and all cartridges for the HP LaserJet II and III printers. Any HP 92295. |

No, I don't have a toner that doesn't work. I can assure you it will work just as good as the one I hacked in the cartridge I'm using now. It is the exact same one as the old one, so it will work no problem. |

Glad to hear the blade is an exact match. I was pretty sure I had compared mine to an old one, but could not confirm 100 percent. |
