Am I reading this correct? You said you got the Computer to boot without RAM? I didn't know that would work... Actually I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work.
Hmmmm ... I don't know if I wrote that but essentially what I meant was that even though I removed the RAM modules the screen was the same upon startup (i.e not a RAM issue but something else on the mainboard (turned out to be missing signals from the UE8 chip due to capacitor leakage).

Oh ok , that makes sense then. I thought you meant it booted regardless of no RAM
