ADB To Atari ST Converter

It's very easy to do with an arduino. I have documented PS/2 to NeXT conversion here:

Everything will be the same for the mac or Atari except the pinout at the computer side.

Gorgonops, you're right; I just happened to have a bunch of ADB mice that I don't specifically need.  Archer, I may try that method for Amiga, if I ever get an Amiga that lacks a mouse.  Or I might just try it in general, eventually.  Very cool.

The problem, as noted, with an ADB mouse is it only has one button and the ST (and Amiga) actually really want two. I suppose you could do something lame like drill a hole and put a momentary contact pushbutton onto the side of the case, but... considering I *still* to this day am regularly tripping over craptastic PS/2 ball mice it seems like sort of a no-brainer to use one of them instead. ADB mice actually at least in *theory* have some "vintage computing" value; they are more common than Amiga or ST mice, sure, but they're not making them any more either. It's not hard to still buy a brand new PS/2 mouse.

Could always buy a two or three button ADB mouse.

... and then gut the even rarer device instead of a PS/2 mouse. Yeah, that makes sense.

OK.
