Levco / SuperMac Prodigy SE accelerator and utility

I also tried the Prodigy RAMDisk application and it said I don't have enough RAM...
Perhaps this is due to the lack of MMU too?

The lack of sound is a show stopper too, as I wanted a SE to play some of the original B&W games that either don't like System 7 or don't run well on a 68030 Mac
Just to warn you, I've never seen sound work perfectly with an accelerator. Patches make it better... but my test is the PoP intro music and it always glitches.

I originally thought my board had 16MB RAM but it lacks the 68851 PMMU and only 2MB is recognised by the system so I'm going to assume it has just 2MB.
What is the part number on the RAM chips?

16MB RAM
only 2MB is recognised by the system

I dunno where you got the 16MB from, but if it's on a label somewhere: could that instead be 16Mb? (i.e. megabits - RAM at the period was often labelled thus)

16 megabits is 2 megabytes...

Most likely, yes. 🙂

I've had it work OK on the Carrera, though it has known sound issues too. Sound is wonky on Rockets.

Probably yes.

The attached documents may help. I also have a Prodigy board. Mine is the 4mb version. More info about my board.

@joshc ah, interesting, @MacOSMonkey's documentation says that the RAM disk doesn't like MultiFinder. We're you running MultiFinder?
