performa 5200CD to a performa 6400
- will there be physically enough room to fit a g3 L2 Cache upgrade card? Maybe, if you can find one. This Color Classic mod uses one, and if anything there's less room in a CC.
- will there be physically enough room to use ANY PCI riser card? the standard 2 slot one? or perhaps finding a 1 slot one if the 2 slot one doesnt fit ? Chances are good you could get the 1-slot riser to fit, as they've been used in CC upgrades a bunch.
From the PCC pages, here's a single riser in the back of a CC:

The 2-slot riser might require a little more surgery.

There's a slightly less hacked up second version by the same modder here.

Either one will require a new or hacked up back panel (ie, one that matches the new motherboard's port layout), or just leaving the back panel off.
NB: the PCI riser is the only difference between a 54/5500 and a 64/6500 at the motherboard level - the boards themselves are identical, and the risers are interchangeable. So you could if you wanted start out with a 1-slot and upgrade to a 2-slot later.
