Macintosh LC III with dead floppy controller?

Source: Macintosh LC III Hardware Developer Note Sweet! That document provides a lot of information on the subject, thanks. The only thing it doesn’t say is what the chip’s numbering is or what it looks like so I can find it on the motherboard 😛 in any case, unless I can find something wrong with the traces to it or whatever, I doubt it will be easy to find a replacement for just that chip right?

Posted by: walterg74 on 2018-07-27 16:21:57 Yep. Great… I just did another cleaning of it just in case, and nothing same thing… I guess maybe something’s fucked up on it or a trace or whatever because power gets to the port but something is definitely missing because the disks sit there an idle
